It’s finally over.  “It” being the four-day Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.World Tour presser. The events took place in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and London.

The tour was consumed by arrogance, ego, extravagance, and flat out absurdity. This went far beyond any usual pre-fight banter, even for these two known for boasting mercilessly until the opponents ears bleed.

"The Money Fight" is the catch phrase for this bout between two of UFC and Boxing’s enigmas.  The hype though lacks genuine rivalry, as these men have never fought before and is totally in different sporting worlds, one, a mixed martial artists, the other, boxing's pound for pound king  The interest is in the crossover element.  Whether or not that is enough fuel to make it a great and competitive fight remains to be seen.

If Mayweather wins this will be his 50th victory with no losses to his name, 26 coming by knockout.  Mayweather’s impeccable record and masterful boxing technique, along with the fact that McGregor has never stepped foot into a boxing ring, have Mayweather a 7-1 favorite, according to Vegas.  McGregor has won titles in two UFC weight divisions and packs a hard left hand, however, this seems of little consequence for the August 26 match between the Irishman and Michigander.

Showtime Sports’ Stephen Espinoza said this about McGregor, "He's very talented as a fighter, but probably up there as one of the top two-three most quotable, most charismatic athletes. You really put him on the same caliber as The Rock. It's hard to say, Ali, because he's almost a mythical figure. But, his ability to command a stage, to improvise, to be funny, to be charming and some points offensive. He is a true performer. It's a skill that cannot be learned."  Espinoza also said, "He is a fascinating individual."

Both fighters definitely let their words get away from them.  McGregor made what some would call (including Mayweather) racist remarks stating "That's the one where he had that celebrity gym, isn't it?With the dancing monkeys in the gym and all.” When asked if he would win a fight between himself and Rocky Balboa from the movie Rocky III,  Mayweather responded to that by saying McGregor "crossed the line" and was "totally disrespectful."

McGregor was asked if his comments were racially charged. He replied that he couldn’t be a racist since is "half-black from the bellybutton down." He defended himself from claims that he is a racist are and called it, "f***ing ridiculous" but had to acknowledged that his comments "didn't really hit right.I'm just gonna stay where it is and leave it out.I know who I am as a person.I think that most realistic people can look and know."

By the time they hit London for their last stop Mayweather had this to say "Yeah, we're going to talk about this p-ssy," he said "You punk, you f----t, you ho."

The Pay-Per-View ticket is $99 through Showtime Sports.
