Visceral fat is basically the excess deep fat which is stored underneath the skin. Provided that visceral fat is harmful to the body, one can determine to have this by measuring the waist and hip. Divide the waist by the hip measurement, a fit body has less than 1.0 for men and 0.85 for women.

Core training in the 50's is important since it is immensely beneficial for improving the core body strength. The belly fat or visceral fat is also known as the most harmful form of fat. It has been associated with such highly crucial health problems such as insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cancer, and heart disease.


There are three types of fat involving the triglycerides, subcutaneous fat and the visceral fat. The triglycerides fat circulates in the bloodstream and makes the 95 percent of body fat. However, the subcutaneous fat is the layer lies directly below the skin's surface. The visceral fat is located within the belly.

Stop performing crunches as it strengthens the stomach muscles and will not burn the belly fat covering the abs. Obtain strengths, it builds the muscle mass that prohibits muscle loss and tolerates fat loss. Eat healthy foods consisting of protein, vegetables, fruits, good fat, and carbohydrates. Low carb diet is another effective way to reduce visceral fat compared to low-fat diets. A person can lose 10 percent of visceral fat in 8 weeks approximately. One type of low-carb diet is the ketogenic diet. Ketogenic diet decreases the carb intake and places the person into a natural metabolic state called ketosis.
