37 more policemen positive for COVID-19

[아시아뉴스통신=조날드 타파난 기자] Philippine National Police (PNP) reported 37 more police officers contracted from COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases among its ranks to 942. PNP Health Service said 19 of the new cases are from the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7); 12 from National Capital Region Police Office; two from PRO-4A (Calabarzon) and one each from PRO-3 (Central Luzon), PRO-6 (Western Visayas), National Headquarters and the PNP Finance Service which was recorded as of Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, 419 PNP personnel have already recovered from the disease while the death toll stands at nine. The PNP Health Service is also monitoring 657 probable cases and 1,258 suspected cases. PNP chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa said the Covid-19 has changed their daily lives such as doing away with the traditional formation because of the ban on mass gatherings.
