BTS will be joining Universal Music Group for US Promotions and left Columbia Records

[Asia News = Reporter Reakkana]  Variety and billboard reported that the boy group BTS will be leaving Sony Music’s Columbia Records and will be joining the Universal Music Group for US Promotions. This ends the BTS three-year partnership with Sony Music’s Columbia Records after signing with them last 2018. Variety also reported that BTS' licensing deal will be under Universal Music Group's Geffen division, while their distribution will be handled by INgrooves. It's also said that HYBE, the BTS company, is on a monthly contract with Sony Music distribution company The Orchard. BTS' and Universal Music Group's partnership is expected to take effect on December 1, according to Variety.
 

The HYBE and Universal Music Group, hoping that their partnership will, "increase opportunities for artists through innovation and technology, whilst expanding the global reach of K-pop music and culture around the world." Through this, their joint label will be based in Los Angeles, in an effort by HYBE’s Big Hit America, Universal Music Group, and Geffen Records to debut a new global K-Pop boy group.
 
In addition, BTS is preparing for their first offline concert in two years with "BTS Permission to Dance On Stage - LA,". They'll perform at the SoFi Stadium for four days on November 27 and 28, and December 1 and 2.
