Over 12,000 migrant children in Northern Thailand are vulnerable to PM2.5 and coronavirus

[아시아뉴스통신=레악카나 특파원] April is considered the toughest time for this pandemic specially in Northern Thailand as they are also battling forest fire and high PM 2.5 concentration.

Help Without Frontier (HWP) helps migrant children by providing food, educational resources and safe shelter. Migrant children are the most vulnerable group in Thailand since they can't receive state-provided healthcare or education.

For the past month,Tak a province in Northern Thailand has turned into "gas chamber" due to wildfires. HWP prioritizing masks for 70 educational centers for almost 12,000 children and hopes to receive donations.

As of now only one person tested positive from Covid-19 but still considered a high-risk area.
